On planet Earth we have continents, oceans, mountains and deserts! The whole planet is teeming with life. There are possibly 10 million species on the surface of our planet. There are at least one million species on the ocean floors that we know very little about.
Animals, fish, insect, bugs, plants, trees and birds are all part of our world.
We are losing species from our planet at an increasing rate! Yet we are finding more and more new species, particularly from deep in the oceans.
This website can only present a fraction of what is on our planet. But we hope that what we can do here will stimulate you to find out more about the life on planet earth.
