The Atlantic Ocean
The Atlantic Ocean is huge. It is the second-largest ocean on our planet with a total area of approximately 106 million square kilometres (which is approximately 40 million square miles). In fact the ocean covers almost 20% of the Earth's surface.

The Atlantic extends from the European and African coastline on the east, and the American continent coastlines on the west. It stretches from the Arctic Ocean in the north to Antarctica in the south.
Marine species in the Atlantic ocean include the include the Humpback whale, the manatee, seals, sea lions, turtles.
