Ladyfish
The ladyfish are found throughout the tropical and sub-tropical regions. Ladyfish are found inshore in bays and estuaries. They will also enter fresh water on occasions.
There are severeal different species of ladyfish:
- Pacific ladyfish (Elops affinis Regan)
- Hawaiian ladyfish (Elops hawaiensis Regan)
- Tenpounder (Elops machnata)
- West African ladyfish (Elops lacerta Valenciennes)
- Ladyfish (Elops saurus Linnaeus)
- Senegalese ladyfish (Elops senegalensis Regan)
