jumping spiders

The Salticidae family of jumping spiders include more than 5,000 species. When a jumping spider jumps it first connects a silk filament to the surface it is on. This allows the spider to climb back to where it was if it falls.

Jumping spiders have good vision, some even have additional eyes!
