Cave whip spiders are not true spiders but belong to an arachnid order with the name Amblypygi.
Amblypygids are of various sizes, the largest being around 2 inches. They have wide and flattened bodies. They also have two main eyes and three smaller eyes placed further back on each side.
The front two legs are sensory organs so the spider walks with the other six legs.
